Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and Steel Helmet, LLC(“we,” “us,” “our”) regarding your use of the FamilyFirst mobile application.
The simple version
FamilyFirst is a free tool to help you organize your family's information. It's yours to use, but we're not liable if things go wrong (data loss, security issues, etc.). Use it responsibly and back up your data.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By using FamilyFirst, you confirm that:
- ✓You are at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction)
- ✓You have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement
- ✓You will use FamilyFirst in compliance with these Terms and applicable laws
- ✓If using FamilyFirst on behalf of an organization, you have authority to bind that organization
2. Description of Service
FamilyFirst is a free iOS app that helps parents organize essential information about their family members.
What FamilyFirst Does
- ✓Stores family member profiles (names, photos, dates of birth, notes)
- ✓Organizes contacts (doctors, emergency contacts, schools)
- ✓Allows you to create custom sections with flexible fields
- ✓Encrypts data locally on your device
- ✓Optionally locks the app with a PIN and biometric authentication
- ✓Allows you to share family member data via AirDrop
What FamilyFirst Does NOT Do
- ✕No cloud sync — all data stored locally on your device
- ✕No accounts — no registration, no login
- ✕No data collection — we don't collect your family's information
- ✕No analytics SDKs or in-app tracking — we don't embed tools to monitor your usage
- ✕No third-party SDKs or data sharing — currently ad-free (we reserve the right to introduce advertising in a future version with advance notice)
Note on Apple Platform Analytics: Apple independently collects aggregate, anonymized app analytics (download counts, session counts, crash reports) through the App Store as part of their platform services. This is Apple's data collection — not ours. We only receive aggregate totals and never individual user data. See our Privacy Policy (Sections 4 and 12) for full details. You can opt out at Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements → Share with App Developers.
FamilyFirst is 100% free. We don't charge fees, sell subscriptions, or collect payments.
